For local governments, it is when expenditures are debated that it is possible to question them and to channel them towards the climate transition. That\u2019s why I4<\/span>CE<\/strong> and its partners co-constructed a common and shared methodology to assess a local budget <\/span>according<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>climate issues.  <\/p>\n

Assessing adaptation in the local budget means to evaluate the level of progress of the local government in taking adaptation into account. The technical appendix on adaptation gives some first methodological\u00a0<\/span>points and explains how to implement this reporting in 3 steps.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Realizing this analysis gives\u00a0<\/span>lisibility<\/span>\u00a0on the efforts that\u00a0<\/span>have to<\/span>\u00a0be made and to better steer the actions of local governments in\u00a0<\/span>favour<\/span>\u00a0of adaptation.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
