{"id":58140,"date":"2018-04-22T13:59:09","date_gmt":"2018-04-22T11:59:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.i4ce.org\/?post_type=projet&#038;p=58140"},"modified":"2025-07-08T14:47:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T12:47:09","slug":"international-support-for-landscapes-of-domestic-climate-finance-2","status":"publish","type":"projet","link":"https:\/\/staging.i4ce.org\/en\/projet\/international-support-for-landscapes-of-domestic-climate-finance-2\/","title":{"rendered":"International support for Landscapes of domestic climate finance"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\">I<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4<\/span>CE supports partner institutions in tracking domestic climate finance<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>I<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4<\/span>CE<\/strong> aims to disseminate the Landscape\u2019s lessons and practices and to support partner institutions in conducting similar exercises in the service of public debate and investment plans.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>At the European level, <strong>I<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4<\/span>CE<\/strong> works with the European Environment Agency<\/strong>\u00a0and other actors to advance Europe-wide\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/old.i4ce.org\/expert-meeting-on-domestic-climate-finance\/\">discussions on improving the tracking and analysis of domestic financial flows<\/a> dedicated to climate action in Europe.\u00a0As part of the EUKI-supported project \u201cLandscape of climate finance: Mainstreaming climate finance in the CEE region\u201d, <strong>I<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4<\/span>CE<\/strong>, NewClimate Institute and Wise Europa have been working together for the last three years. The three organisations engage with stakeholders in Central and Easter Europe and document investment and funding efforts contributing to the decarbonation of different sectors in Poland. In 2020, two reports were published: the first one on the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wise-europa.eu\/en\/2020\/07\/29\/res-investments-in-poland-reach-record-high-in-2019-new-wiseeuropa-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">energy sector<\/a>, the second one on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/old.i4ce.org\/download\/renovation-landscape-of-climate-finance-in-the-polish-buildings-sector\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">building sector<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><strong>I<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4<\/span>CE<\/strong> is currently working with the <em>Caisse des d\u00e9pots de gestion du Maroc<\/em>\u00a0(CDG)<\/strong>\u00a0to implement an initial domestic climate finance tracking study in Morocco based on the methodological framework developed as part of its Panorama of Climate Finance project. A Landscape of climate finance in Morocco will track climate investments realized in Morocco and their modes of financing, as well as a projection of investment needs in the short and medium term. This analysis will allow Moroccan policymakers to assess the level of progress of the transition to a low-carbon and climate resilient economy, and the additional needs in terms of investment and financing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In 2016 and 2017, <strong>I<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4<\/span>CE<\/strong> supported the Colombian Departamento Nacional de Planeaci\u00f3n (DNP)<\/strong>\u00a0in partnership with the French Development Agency (AFD) to improve the tracking of domestic public and private climate finance.
