EUKI is a project financing instrument by the German <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmu.de\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety<\/a> (BMU). The EUKI competition for project ideas is implemented by the Deutsche <a href=\"https:\/\/www.giz.de\/de\/html\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit<\/a> (GIZ) GmbH. It is the overarching goal of the EUKI to foster climate cooperation within the <a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/european-union\/index_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">European Union<\/a> (EU) in order to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><strong>Context :<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The transition to a low-carbon economy requires an unprecedented redirection of financial flows towards sustainable investments. The project aims to promote a strategic vision of the investment and a finance challenge raised by climate action. Its activities will focus on Poland and will be supported by experiences from Germany and France.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The main objective is to support the exchange of experiences between policymakers, experts, business community and civil society to improve assessment and design of domestic climate finance investment environments as well as to raise the awareness regarding the financial tools available to achieve climate policy objectives and foster the transition towards the low-emission economy.
