{"id":17282,"date":"2017-09-18T12:03:14","date_gmt":"2017-09-18T10:03:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/preprod.i4ce.org\/2017\/09\/18\/carbon-pricing-in-morocco-training-workshop-on-13-15-september-at-the-environnement-ministry\/"},"modified":"2022-10-10T10:42:36","modified_gmt":"2022-10-10T08:42:36","slug":"carbon-pricing-in-morocco-training-workshop-on-13-15-september-at-the-environnement-ministry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.i4ce.org\/en\/carbon-pricing-in-morocco-training-workshop-on-13-15-september-at-the-environnement-ministry\/","title":{"rendered":"Carbon pricing in Morocco : training workshop on 13 &#8211; 15 September at the Environnement Ministry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the invitation of the Ministry of the Environment and its Secretariat for Sustainable Development and supported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepmr.org\/\">Partnership of Market Readiness<\/a> of the World Bank\u00a0, <strong>I4CE assists\u00a0representatives of different ministries and economic sectors to understand the implementation of carbon pricing policies in Morocco<\/strong> with the aim at achieving their climate targets set in their Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) defined for the Paris Agreement.<\/p>\n<p>Organized from 13 to 15 September in Rabat, the training workshop aims at providing a common understanding of the implications of the Paris Agreement for their country and to address all the issues raised by its implementation and the specific challenges of carbon pricing. I<strong>4CE has presented different approaches and instruments, such as carbon taxes, market mechanisms such as emissions trading systems, and offsets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Agenda<\/span> :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Session 1 &#8211; Climate Ambition and Carbon Pricing: Implications of the Paris Accord<\/li>\n<li>Session 2 &#8211; Understanding the Fundamentals of Carbon Pricing<\/li>\n<li>Session 3 &#8211; Simulation of a carbon price in the electricity sector<\/li>\n<li>Sessions 4, 5 and 6 &#8211;
