{"id":13646,"date":"2016-09-29T13:29:37","date_gmt":"2016-09-29T11:29:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/preprod.i4ce.org\/2016\/09\/29\/i4ces-contribution-to-the-global-climate-action-agendas-roadmap\/"},"modified":"2022-07-15T21:20:21","modified_gmt":"2022-07-15T19:20:21","slug":"i4ces-contribution-to-the-global-action-agendas-roadmap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.i4ce.org\/en\/i4ces-contribution-to-the-global-action-agendas-roadmap\/","title":{"rendered":"I4CE\u2019s contribution to the Global Climate Action Agenda&#8217;s roadmap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I4CE&#8217;s contributions quoted alongside those of other stakeholders in the synthesis report prepared by the COP21 and COP22 champions on of submissions on the roadmap for global climate action.<\/p>\n<p>The world climate champions for France and Morocco Laurence Tubiana and Hakima\u00a0El Haite, launched call for submissions to Parties and Non-Party Stakeholders to the international negotiation processus on climate change to welcome views on their <a href=\"http:\/\/newsroom.unfccc.int\/climate-action\/global-climate-action-agenda\/#Roadmap\">detailed roadmap<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.i4ce.org\/go_project\/climascope-2\/\">Building on its previous work for\u00a0COP21<\/a>, I4CE contributed to the call by bringing its views on the action agenda and the importance of monitoring and assessing the non-state initiatives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The main elements of our contribution are :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aligning\u00a0promoted initiatives with the Paris\u00a0Agreement objectives<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining an increased ambition that encourage actions that are truly new<\/li>\n<li>Building a consensu around MRV criteria for projects<\/li>\n<li>Working with stakeholders networks to facilitate cooperation between state and non-state parties<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some of these insights were included in the final synthesis released on September 16th, for instance those regarding long term action coherent with Paris objectives, the necessity for state and non-state actors to enhance their ambition, focus on the implementation of cooperative initiatives.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.i4ce.org\/i4ces-contribution-to-the-global-action-agendas-roadmap\/ccnuccc-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-13647\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13647\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.i4ce.org\/wp-core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/CCNUCCC-1.png\" alt=\"CCNUCCC\" width=\"806\" height=\"346\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I4CE&#8217;s contributions quoted alongside those of other stakeholders in the synthesis report prepared by the COP21 and COP22 champions on of submissions on the roadmap for global climate action.
