The \u201cState of the EU ETS\u201d Report aimed to provide an independent contribution to the policy debate<\/strong>, which is needed to ensure that the EU ETS is \u201cfit for purpose\u201d. This report discusses the current state of play in the EU ETS<\/strong> and the recent policy developments<\/strong>, analyses the efficiency of the system<\/strong> and includes a focus on the Market Stability Reserve<\/strong> (MSR) which started operating in January 2019.<\/p>\n

The meeting was included a detailed presentation by the authors Andrei Marcu (ERCST<\/a>), Matteo Mazzoni (ICIS<\/a>), Emilie Alberola (EcoAct<\/a>), Charlotte Vailles (I4CE<\/a>), Stefan Schleicher (the Wegener Center of the University of Graz<\/a>) and Jean Yves Caneill (ERCST<\/a>), followed by a roundtable discussion with representatives of businesses, NGOs and governments.<\/p>\n
